Julimar Mora Silva
FAPERJ Postdoctoral Researcher, Institute of History, Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF)
Julimar Mora Silva holds a PhD in History from PUC-Rio and studies the internationalisms that emerged during the late Cold War. Her research traces the circulation of workers, political exiles, anti-racist activists, experts, and socialist travelers through the networks connecting Latin America and Southern Africa. Her current work examines how technical knowledge, labor practices, and development projects were mobilized and negotiated within solidarity networks linking Brazil, Mozambique, Cuba, and the wider Third World. Her scholarship brings together histories of labor, socialist globalization, anti-imperialist cultures, race and class, and the politics of expertise. Her recent work has appeared in International Review of Social History, Varia Historia, Historia Actual Online, Trashumante, Public Humanities, and Revista Mundos do Trabalho.
